Who we are
Crew Room (“we”, “us”) provides tools for airline crew members — schedules, bidding, and workgroups — through the Crew Room mobile app for iOS and Android and our website at https://crewroom.app. This policy covers both.
What we collect
- Account information: your email address and/or phone number (used for sign-in, including SMS verification codes), your display name, and an optional profile photo.
- Content you add: schedules, bids, workgroup posts, and photos you choose to upload. The camera and photo library are used only when you choose to add a photo.
- Usage analytics: we use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the app is used (screens visited, features used, device type and operating system).
- Crash and diagnostic data: crash reports and basic device diagnostics via Firebase Crashlytics, used to find and fix bugs.
- Push notification tokens: a device token so we can deliver notifications you have enabled.
- Website data: standard cookies for login sessions and forms you submit on crewroom.app.
How we use information
To provide and improve the service, sync your content across devices, deliver notifications you request, keep the service secure, and comply with law. If we send marketing email, it will include an unsubscribe link, and opting out never affects service notifications.
Workgroups are shared spaces
Content you post to a workgroup is visible to the other members of that workgroup. Post only what you are comfortable sharing with the group.
Third-party services
Crew Room runs on Google Firebase (authentication, database, storage, analytics, crash reporting, and messaging). Google processes this data on our behalf, primarily in the United States, under Google’s privacy policy. We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not run third-party advertising in the app. Our website and app may link to third-party sites whose privacy practices are their own.
International transfers
Our infrastructure runs primarily in the United States. If you use Crew Room from elsewhere, your information is processed in the United States and protected as described in this policy.
Retention and deletion
Account and content data is kept while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Delete account — you will be asked to re-authenticate), or by emailing admin@crewroom.app; deletion removes your account data except where law requires us to keep it. Crash logs and analytics are retained for a limited period.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your personal data, correction, deletion, or a portable export by emailing admin@crewroom.app. We will respond to legitimate requests within a reasonable time.
Children
Crew Room is built for working airline crew members. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Access to our production systems is restricted, and database access is governed by per-user security rules. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
Changes
We will post updates to this page and change the effective date above; material changes will be flagged in the app or by email.
